Responsibilities
As a Lead Software Engineer, you will work (and own) challenging software engineering problems that can help revolutionize the digital marketing landscape. You will own a problem from the beginning, partner with different functional groups and peers to define and understand it in a fast paced and iterative environment, and then lead execution on its solution. You will inspire others in the team with your work and creativity. - Display a passion for coding - Own problems, develop solutions and mentor and inspire other developers - Wear multiple hats in a sprint cycle, from a product owner to an architect to a coder - Innovate and collaborate as part of a larger multi-location Engineering Team - Interface directly with other functional groups, including our customers, product management and DevOps to identify and define features. In other words, own what you build!
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor's degree and 4+ years experience or Masters degree with 2+ years experience - High proficiency with Core Java and object oriented design - Experience developing data-centric, web-based applications (Apache, Tomcat, JavaScript, AJAX, CSS) - Experience in Service Oriented Architecture - Experience with MySQL, Spring and Hibernate - Experience with Agile software development - Experience with unit testing - JUnit, mocking or other test libraries - Experience working in a devops environment in the cloud such as AWS - Proficiency in design patterns and practical applications of them - Strong communications skills - Desire to learn and work with new technologies - big data technologies, Cloud applications (AWS), RDSs, DevOps mindset
