Senior Software Engineer

• Serve as a Senior Software Engineer on the YP Mobile Labs team, responsible for enhancing and maintaining our state-of-the-art Macrosense Data Management Platform (DMP) and associated systems
• Provide operational support for Macrosense DMP including userlist setup, data pulls, other campaign support tasks, etc
• Design, document, develop, and test features and enhancements for Macrosense DMP

Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years software development experience
• B.S. degree in Computer Science or related discipline (MS is a plus)
• Strong coding skills in Java, SQL, and related technologies
• Experience with "Big Data" and distributed computing technologies like Hadoop, HDFS, Spark, Cassandra, etc
• Strong computer science knowledge/background
• Proficiency working in a Unix/Linux environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to communicate and work with both technical and non-technical team members
• Must have a problem-solving mindset with an extreme attention to detail
• Must have strong conceptual and analytic skills

Knowledge/experience with any of the following are a big plus:

• Working in a virtual/cloud computing environment (e.g., Amazon EC2, Rackspace, Slicehost, Linode, etc.)
• Any experience in the Ad Tech field
• Programming with location-based (geospatial / spatiotemporal) data
• Background in statistics and/or machine learning
• Programming in Python or R
• Working on an agile team (e.g., Scrum)
