Front End Developer

Xometry is seeking a software engineer to conceptualize, build, and maintain the front-end of a state of the art customer-facing website, and series web applications. This role is key in integrating internet technology with the manufacturing process to give customers digital access to our advanced prototyping and manufacturing capabilities.

• Create and implement new web and mobile projects, as well as maintaining existing sites
• Develop front-end prototypes using HTML5, SASS, JavaScript/jQuery and Angular
• Browser/platform test to assure code delivers as promised and degrades gracefully when needed
• Be a constant advocate for an excellent user experience
• Develop best practices for maintaining modern web applications

• Possess 3-5 years of high-level experience in web development including HTML5, SASS/LESS, Javascript (including jQuery and AJAX), and javascript frameworks
• Experience with maintaining web applications that regularly receive traffic of at least 1,000 visitors per day
• Experience with Angular.js preferred
• Eagerness to gain proficiency in the latest web technologies
• A portfolio demonstrating clean and compliant code
• Familiarity with automated unit/regression testing and continuous integration
• Familiarity with versioning systems such as Git
• Effective communicator, well organized, and have the ability to multi-task and succeed in a fast paced news based environment
• Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and effectively manage priorities and communicate progress
