The Business Systems Analyst will support Finance/IT to help achieve operational and strategic business goals.
- Design/develop systems; configuring new hardware and software, or use existing systems in new ways to accomplish additional or different outcomes.
- Consult with management and users to determine the needs of the system; design a system to meet these business goals.
- Analyze and communicate stakeholder needs by translating business requirements into software requirements.
- Specify and manage inputs and formatting outputs to meet users’ needs.
- Use testing and data models to improve the flow of financial information through an organization to enhance project success.
- Utilize model building and structured analysis, along with accounting requirements, to ensure solutions are efficient and cost-effective.
- Develop specifications, diagrams and flowcharts for programmers to follow.
- Oversee implementation, coordinate tests and observe initiation of the system to validate performance
- Make recommendations for solutions/improvements that can be accomplished through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology.
- Act as liaison between business stakeholders, management, customers or end users, and software developers and information technology team.
- Document and evaluate required data and information.
- 5-7+ years proven experience in identifying and managing opportunities for improving business processes; using technology-systems to improve productivity, output, organizational inefficiencies, and costs.
- Degree in Finance, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related area, or by working in management or finance and then pursuing specialized training.
- Advanced business intelligence tools-applications experience.
- Demonstrable experience of specialized skills in assessing, solving, and deploying solutions to meet business problems through various responsibilities.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to focus with close attention to detail in both a business analyst and systems analyst perspective.
- Broad base of financial business knowledge and tools and processes required to support the infrastructure.
- Sharply honed essential Business Intelligence knowledge and skills; advanced technology-specific interests.
