Senior Front-End Software Engineer

The Senior Front-End Software Engineer is responsible for building the client-side of the WeGoLook web applications. Translating the company and clients needs into functional and appealing interactive applications.

• Strong client-side coding skills and experience using Web standards (W3C)
• Understanding of accessibility standards
• Ability to create clean, organized, and modular HTML and CSS code, leveraging current techniques, tools, and libraries
• Experience implementing styles that work across many browsers and devices
• Experience developing modern JavaScript code for production environments, using common libraries
• Ability to use AJAX with RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of SASS, LESS, or other CSS preprocessor
• Experience with grid layouts, media queries, and other responsive techniques
• Experience refactoring existing code to improve readability, code reuse, performance, and maintainability

Competencies

• Experience developing progressively enhanced Web experiences
• Familiarity with JavaScript testing tools
• Understanding of functional programming paradigms
• Experience optimizing performance, such as time to first paint
• Experience with Service Workers

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 4 years of experience in a relevant area
