As a Marketing & Communications Manager, major responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Content Development and Management:
- Work with sales, carriers, customers and related subject matter experts to develop online, print and presentation collateral
- Responsible for content development and management including writing, editing and overseeing material through the review/approval process; serves as chief internal editor for public messages
- Work with design agency to produce materials including brochures, website content, ads, social media messages, white papers, and customer success stories
- Execute traditional marketing tactics such as email, e-cards, webinars, newsletters, fact sheets, brochures; and digital marketing such as video, social and web, for moderately complex campaigns
- Acts as vendor to other departments for marketing and communications services that ensure consistent messaging and overall presentation of the Walsh Duffield brand
- Oversee design work to ensure adherence to Walsh Duffield brand standards and guidelines in all printed material
- Create and maintain editorial calendar of collateral development and distribution to channels including online/print media and internal communications
Lead Generation:
- Create and execute lead generation campaigns for new/prospects and cross-sell/up-sell, resulting in qualified leads for sales force
- Create and execute complex multi-platform campaigns, in support of marketing strategies aligned to specific division needs using proprietary agency software, marketing automation and reporting •
- Align with sales efforts including development of talking points, qualifiers, tracking of opportunities and measuring campaign ROI against sales goals
- Establish lead qualification criteria based on basic company and contact data as well as behavioral data such as web page visits, webinar/event attendance, form completion, etc.
- Provide information by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data and trends; create and manage marketing performance reporting; and recommend changes to marketing strategies based on analysis and feedback
- Review data and analyze research on business and consumer insights and provide input to business leaders on potential impact on the marketing campaigns
Public Relations:
- Work with company executives and sales to evaluate company news, new product/service offerings and agency acquisitions to build a strategic plan in alignment with brand building and business objectives
- Create press release, acquire approval and distribute internally and externally to outlets
- Supports and assists with agency and industry events by executing marketing components and contributing to key message development
- Regularly communicate Walsh “News and Events” to our various communities
- Search for opportunities to enhance and extend the Walsh brand across our communities
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, English or related discipline
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ work experience in related direct marketing role
- Proficiency in CRM software (or database), Mac OS, Microsoft Office products -Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher, Adobe Creative Suite 5 (specifically Photoshop and InDesign), and Acroba
- Marketing Automation
- Social Media expertise
- Google Analytics and Adwords (or similar)
- Proven experience in developing creative advertising materials, direct mail, and online advertising communications.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and initiative.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, influencing, and relationship building skills
- Ability to work and collaborate on cross-functional teams in both leadership and member roles
- Strong writing, presentation skills and attention to detail
- Time management, analytics, problem solving and decision making
- Ability to understand and simplify complex information and clearly communicate through multiple communication channels
- Ability to utilize computer systems and programs and understand functionality
