Marketing Manager

VMFA Arts is a top comprehensive US art museum with more than 5,000 years of art from around the world. VMFA is open 365 days a year and general admission is always free. The Wall Street Journal recently stated that VMFA is now a "two day museum."

Responsibilities

• The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts has an exciting opportunity for a creative and results-driven Manager to lead and support marketing initiatives for an ambitious, fast-paced work environment.

• Under the direction of the Director of Marketing and Communications, duties include design and implementation of market research and data analysis; planning, execution and evaluation of advertising and promotional plans for exhibitions, events, museum products and services; establishment and cultivation of key business partners; budget development and monitoring; and project management.

• Such responsibilities require an extremely detail-oriented, highly organized strategic thinker

Ideal Candidate

• The selected candidate must have knowledge and demonstrated experience with planning, negotiating, organizing, implementing and evaluating multiple, comprehensive advertising and promotional plans.

• He/she will be proficient using personal computers and Microsoft applications with a good understanding of email marketing strategies and market research methodologies and analytical tools.

• The selected candidate must demonstrate the ability to develop campaign strategies independently and collaboratively; communicate effectively, orally and in writing; present ideas and concepts accurately and creatively; establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; develop budgets and manage expenses; and work within established deadlines and budget limitations.

• Graduation from a college or university with coursework in marketing, strategic planning business, or related field preferred or equivalent training and experience.
