Senior Java Developer

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer in support of one of our largest contracts for the Department of Defense for our contract with Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC). This individual must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain Public Trust clearance

The candidate will be responsible for working with the project team to develop and maintain the application.

• Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): analyze business requirements, develop design documentation based on application requirements
• Develop and test code per schedule
• Escalate risks and issues to the Project Manager, and assist in troubleshooting production support issues

Qualifications/Required Experience

• Experience using an Integrated Development Environment –Eclipse.
• Experience with testing tools, unit and integration test scripting and testing methodologies.
• Prior experience with the following tools and products:
  • Oracle 11g web/app server
  • JBoss EAP 6.4
  • Subversion for source control
  • Maven build process
• Ability to consistently apply quality and security standards
• Java, JEE, Spring Framework, Junit, JSON, XML, SQL, Maven, Eclipse, GIT.
• Proficient in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
• Experience in MongoDB or other NoSQL database technologies (CouchDB, Redis, ElasticSearch).
• Experience in SAS is preferred

Education/Certification / Knowledge

• BS degree required (Computer Science, Information Systems majors preferred).
• 6+ years related work experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Java certifications preferred but not required
• Knowledge of Agile software development using Scrum preferred, but not required
