Senior Information Technology Auditor

Vaco partners with clients on critical projects and strategic talent acquisitions in the areas of finance, accounting, technology, healthcare, general administration and more.

As a Senior IT Auditor, you will be responsible providing advice to senior level management, helping them to understand and adhere to changing regulatory compliance requirements.

• Identifies and evaluates the organization's IT risk areas and provides major input to the development of the Annual Audit Plan.
• Plans and executes audits of client/server technology platforms to evaluate IT risk and internal controls.
• Conducts data extraction, analysis, and security reviews utilizing software tools.
• Supports audits and consulting engagements related to programming, mainframe batch and on-line processes, client-server architecture, internet and intranet functionality, database extraction, technology strategy, and data communication and network security.
• Leads and/or conducts the performance of audit procedures, including identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing and analyzing evidence, and documenting client processes and procedures.
• Pursues professional development opportunities, including external and internal training and professional association memberships and shares information gained with co-workers.
• Summarizes results of IT audit activities and prepares reports for executive management and the audit committee of the board.
• Develops and maintains productive client and staff relationships through individual contacts and group meetings.
• Supports audits and consulting engagements related to programming, mainframe batch and on-line processes, client-server architecture, internet and intranet functionality, database extraction, technology strategy, data communication and network security.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Accounting or related discipline
• 4+ years of internal/external audit experience in an information technology field
• CISA certification required
• CIA certification is a plus
