Network Software Developer for Innovative Data Center Platform

Vaco is seeking a talented Network Software Developer for a long-term project with the Software Defined Networks (SDN) team to be responsible for the development and maintenance of the SDN subsystem of the network software platform.

• Design, develop, test and maintain network monitoring, provisioning, and automation systems, with a specific focus on supporting customer facing network products.
• Work with Network Architecture, Network Engineering, Software Development, NOC, and IT teams to develop requirements and timelines for new features and integration.
• Coordinate with Application teams to define and implement interfaces between the Business Applications and SDN subsystem.
• Propose solutions for developing scalable and highly available network software applications used in the management of data center network infrastructure.

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
• 3+ years of development in Java/J2EE, WEB development; Python, Ruby on Rails experience a plus.
• 3+ years' experience with SQL and relational databases.
• 3+ years' experience with networking devices and network management application development.
• 2+ years' experience with defining REST API's and its implementation.
• Self-motivated team player.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
