Data Warehouse Developer

Vaco partners with clients on critical projects and strategic talent acquisitions in the areas of finance, accounting, technology, healthcare, general administration and more.

This position will report to the Data Warehouse Manager and will take a lead role in the design, development, and deployment of Data Structures and ETL Processes optimized for BI Consumption and Analytics.

• ETL Processes - Time Spent: 40%
• Expected Outcome(s): Import and Export processes will provide data in a timely, accurate, and appropriately formatted fashion. Processes will be efficient and provide error handling and/or notifications regarding data availability and integrity.
• Data Structures for BI and Analytics - Time Spent: 40%
• All tables, views, or analytics solutions will provide data that is robust, accessible, and descriptive.
• Process Improvements and Architectural Enhancements - Time Spent: 20%
• Expected Outcome(s): Replace or enhance existing ETL Processes and Data Structures when improvement opportunities are identified.

Professional Competencies (knowledge, skills, and abilities):

• Ability to meet with customers/end-users to identify data requirements to determine project requirements.
• Ability to identify and adjust to requirement changes.
• Ability to quickly understand data content, patterns, and deficiencies.
• Advanced knowledge of T-SQL, SQL Server Views, and Stored Procedures.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SSIS.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft SSAS.
• Intermediate to advance knowledge of Healthcare from an insurers perspective

Preferred Qualifications:

• HEDIS and/or STARS
• Medicaid/Medicare
• Risk Adjustment
• Microsoft Excel w/ PowerPivot and/or Power Query

Education:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in a related field

Experience:

• 5+ Years Microsoft SQL Server Development
• 2+ Years Healthcare experience
