Software Engineering Manager

We are looking for an enthusiastic leader that will grow back-end Java engineers into becoming leaders and the experts of their technology stack. You will manage execution and drive coordination between many teams. You will also evolve our processes and remove roadblocks for your team. We like candidates that are excited about a growing Product line and the need to continually scale our existing infrastructure.

• Lead, mentor, and support a small team of passionate engineers
• Be responsible for Service Architecture and Java code quality
• Become the agent of change and process improvements
• Work well in an agile development environment, set expectations, and drive continuous improvement
• Promote engineering best practices
• 50% of time spent coding
• On-call rotation participation

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 3+ years experience managing and leading a team
• Expertise in designing fast and maintainable distributed systems
• Experience with different database architectures and schema design.
• 5+ years experience with backend Java services
