Summary

As Senior Accountant you are responsible for the preparation of data underlying the financial statements for the company. You have experience performing, coordinating and analyzing accounting activity for multiple general ledger accounts.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures.
  • Analyze revenues and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately.
  • Prepare account reconciliations and post journal entries.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements.
  • Perform account analysis for multiple general ledger accounts.
  • Assist with analyzing financial statements on a monthly basis and report on variances.
  • Assist with financial and tax audits, including preparation of audit schedules.
  • Assist with preparing / reviewing tax returns.
  • Assist with development of processes, procedures, and controls to improve efficiency.
  • Cross-train with other team members in order to act as back up for certain functions.
  • Provide assistance with other projects as necessary.
Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • 6 to 9 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret and present complex data.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of auditing and financial accounting standards and practices.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Highly detail oriented and organized in work.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under time constraints.
  • Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management.
