The Department of Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Mechanics in the College of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Cincinnati seeks highly qualified, experienced candidates for the Alan B. Shepard Chair in the area of Space Exploration.
- Candidates applying for this position must hold a doctorate degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related field in Space applications, and are expected to have a documented record of excellence in academic research in one or more of the following areas: human or robotic space exploration; space vehicles; operations and systems; spacecraft systems engineering and integration; and, preferably as the leader of a research team with industry and government collaboration.
- Candidates are expected to make a meaningful contribution to the undergraduate and graduate educational programs of the department, including development of new graduate level courses in the area of expertise of the candidate.
Candidates must submit the following documents with the application:

- Vision statement for developing a research center, and teaching interests;
