Uken is looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to work with our services team to manage and improve our rapidly growing infrastructure and backend services. **You'd be working on meaningful things like:** * Enabling fast, reliable and consistent user experience by measuring and optimizing the entire technology stack * Automating tasks and streamlining processes to easily manage a growing 200+ server farm * Analyzing and improving efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system resources * Participating in a weekly 24x7 on-call schedule * Writing, reviewing and documenting code in various languages and frameworks * Working closely with app developers to roll out new functionality and build internal tools * Debugging the hardest problems, live

**Your background should include:** * Proven software engineering experience in a service-oriented architecture * Passion for the tech industry. Whenever there was a technology you did not understand, you've researched and became familiar with it * Strong system admin skills, including Linux, networking, databases and security * Knowledge on measuring, optimizing and automating everything **It'd be a big plus if you have:** * Expertise in Ruby or Python * Experience working with AWS * Contributed to an Open Source Project * Can describe the TCP connection establishment process * Used Linux as your main computer **Some technologies we are focused on:** * Rails, Ruby * AWS (EC2, EBS, VPC, S3, EMR) * Go + websockets * Docker * Mysql (Percona) and InnoDB tools * Hadoop, Spark, R * Infrastructure as Code * Service discovery * InfluxDB * Our infrastructure is constantly evolving.
