Cloud Services System Architect

Tygart is currently seeking a Systems Architect to support a Department of Justice (DoJ) organization. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable in cloud services, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud service offerings. This position requires that the candidate have a current Top Secret security clearance.

• Develop and design a practices and patterns website that will inform application development teams to evaluate, engineer, and move workload to commercial cloud service providers
• Evaluate and produce content for cloud practices website
• Create guidance documentation for use and movement of application to cloud services

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Five (5) years of work experience supporting application development teams
• Demonstrated experience with migrating or developing applications to commercial cloud providers
• Experience with AWS cloud service offerings
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with ITIL, Agile and SCRUM Methodologies.
• AWS Certification is highly desired.
• Demonstrated ability to work with government leaders and application teams to implement sound engineering practices.
• Must be able to well under pressure, and possess excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as excellent organizational skills.
