Facilitating Agile (Scrum) Framework execution of software development teams by filling a role as a “Servant Leader” for a team, minimizing the impact of impediments to successful completion of time-boxed development work, monitoring team performance and creating metrics to inform stakeholders of team achievements.
- Serve as a facilitator for a software development team by organizing Scrum ceremony meetings, enforcing timelines and facilitating discussions that lead to effective decision-making and conflict resolution.
- Guide team application of Agile/Scrum “Best Practices” and values while maintaining/growing team dynamic.
- Assist in removing/mitigating impediments impacting the team’s ability to deliver on Sprint goals successfully, whether technical or organizational.
- Create team performance metrics that are consistent with those of the Program and maintain transparency into the team’s work through those metrics.
- Support the team Product Owner, particularly with respect to grooming and maintaining the team backlog.
- Reinforce Agile Values and Principles while leading by example.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field. Certified Scrum Master (CSM or similar).
- A minimum of two years’ related experience.
- Working in an Agile software development environment with geographically dispersed teams, delivering to a strategy via incremental releases with a blend of business and technical knowledge.
- Risk and dependency management.
- Agile business analysis, preferably in the Healthcare Industry.
- Must understand iterative and incremental software delivery and value of Agile Scrum metrics (i.e.: burn-down metrics).
- Must understand technical aspects of Agile Scrum process in SaaS environment and other Lean development methods.
- Must possess the ability to diagnose and correct sub-optimal Agile Scrum practices.
- Must possess enthusiasm for this role and an Agile mindset, understanding the ideas behind Agile values and principles.
- Must be self-directed and exceptionally well-organized with strict attention to detail.
- Must be able to lead teams to self-organize/self-manage while performing in a “Servant Leader” role.
- Must be able to articulate (non-)technical concepts and strive for excellence leveraging modern business technology approaches.
- Must possess “Situational Awareness”, with an ability to help teams solve problems as required.
