Back End Web Developer

A Back End Developer to collaborate with our existing team of front and back end developers. The successful candidate will have strong experience developing and maintaining server-side logic; defining and maintaining code repositories, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. The engineer will work closely with other software engineers, our marketing team and QA personnel to create high quality and high performing solutions.

• Assist in architecting and building scalable web solutions including Wordpress driven CMS and websites
• Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules, Plugins
• Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges
• Integration of data storage solutions such as MySQL
• Build and document new features
• Work with existing front and back end development teams to enhance existing applications and advance our organization’s web presence and infrastructure.
• Independently design/code in PHP, MySQL and MongoDB.
• Build scalable architecture including custom CMS
• Provide recommendations to our team regarding best practice and product selection.

• 4 -8 years of back-end software development experience
• Knowledge and well versed in available web technologies, tools, and frameworks such as (but not limited to); PHP (Zend), MsSQL, Javascript (Expert)
• Experience with high volume B2C web based applications.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
• Must be able to take direction, work well as part of a team, and independently.
