Ticketfly's engineering team is looking for an experienced Senior WordPress Developer to help further our mission of reimagining live events by continually enhancing the WordPress platform that supports our network of over 500 Ticketfly-powered websites. Top candidates for the role will have a proven track record of building infrastructure to improve performance and rapidly scale a platform that supports complex, dynamic custom WordPress sites. S/he will have exceptional troubleshooting abilities, thrive in cross-functional teams and be inspired to consistently deliver innovative website experiences that change the game for fans of live events.
- B.S. in CS, or equivalent knowledge and experience
- 5+ years of experience with PHP, JavaScript/jQuery, HTML/CSS
- 3+ years of experience with WordPress, including custom WordPress theme and plugin development
- In-depth knowledge of the WordPress ecosystem, version dependencies and security issues
- Proven track record of launching and optimizing production websites
- Extensive MySQL database design and optimization ability
- Excellent Linux and Shell scripting skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Desire to work on a cross-functional team
