Associate Artist for PH for Gaming

The Associate Artist position is a critical role within our team that helps support all our major products and is a one year project hire position with an end date. The ideal candidate will report to the Senior Art Director. Their primary role involves in a variety of tasks that include but are not limited to the creation of illustrations and concepts for visualization, presentation and development purposes; research and reference gathering of images and content as well as general art support across all our franchise teams including MARVEL.

• Create concept designs and sketches for characters, environments and vehicles.
• Create storyboards for gameplay and cinematic sequences.
• Assist in providing visual feedback across all our franchise products.
• Candidate must be creative, versatile, detail oriented and passionate self-starter.
• Proficient 2D art skills with ability to draw and paint characters, environments and vehicles.
• Strong artistic knowledge with understanding of forms, materials, composition, perspective, color, anatomy and lighting.
• Broad knowledge and ability to execute various illustrative styles from photorealism to highly stylized.
• Effective researcher that understands how to discover the best reference possible.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to take direction.
• Able to execute at a high level under tight deadlines.
• Able to prioritize workload.
• Ability to work on their own as well as part of a team.
• Broad knowledge of game development with an interest in computer & video games a plus.
• Marvel and Disney fan a plus.
• Adobe Photoshop
• Illustrator a plus

Required Education

• Art/Design/Multimedia degree required.
