The Assistant Director of Housekeeping is responsible in leading and managing all aspects of our housekeeping and laundry departments.
- Hire, train, supervise and develop staff.
- Establish and maintain cleanliness standards, proper use of tools, equipment and chemicals.
- Banquet room set ups and break downs and assisting with our environmental and sustainability efforts.
- Meticulous attention to detail is required to ensure our property is well maintained at all times.
- Schedule staff based on operational needs and union contract guidelines.
- Order and maintain appropriate pars for housekeeping amenities and supplies.
- Keep up to date with hospitality/housekeeping trends and changes in the industry which will enhance our service and amenities we offer our members.
- 3+ years Executive Housekeeper or Housekeeping Manager experience in hospitality, luxury hotels/properties, hospitals or similar environment
- Proven success in leading, managing and building a team of unionized staff
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure at all times with members and staff
- Highly organized, self-motivated and exceptionally service minded
- Excellent English written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, self awareness and emotional intelligence
Desired Skill:
Oral and written Spanish language skills highly desirable.
