(Evesham Township, New Jersey)The Michaels Organization is a nationally recognized, private sector firm with over 43 years of experience in producing top quality multifamily housing. All aspects of housing development, from site acquisition through property management are within the expertise of our company and its affiliates.
The primary responsibilities will be to gather and analyze various documents and develop financial models to reposition existing assets, value potential acquisitions, coordinate due diligence requirements as well as all aspects of the disposition of assets. A candidate should be detail oriented and possess an understanding of financial statements and where to find information in partnership and financing documents. The applicant will primarily work in the Marlton office with minimal travel.
- Analyze potential acquisition and disposition opportunities to determine valuations;
- Create projections for the operations of assets to be acquired, refinanced, or repositioned;
- Coordinate and gather due diligence materials from both internal sources for the existing portfolio as well as external sources for potential acquisitions;
- Analyze the opportunities to reposition the existing portfolio (through refinance and acquisition/rehabilitation developments utilizing LIHTCs);
- Create refinance models and LIHTC models;
- Be involved in loan processing and funding applications from time to time as needed;
- Write development summaries conveying what is required to operate a development from various due diligence materials;
- Coordinate the disposition process; and
- Be involved in various special projects.
Required Skills
- The candidate must have the ability to meet deadlines, work independently and perform multiple tasks.
- The candidate must have strong organizational skills, mathematical and analytical skills, and communication skills (both written and oral).
- Attention to detail and computer skills (including Word and Excel) are also necessary.
Required Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
- Three to five years of multifamily lending, finance, accounting or auditing experience is desired and appraisal experience strongly preferred.
- An understanding of general underwriting principles is necessary as is a general understanding of borrower and/or partnership structures.
- Experience in affordable multifamily is desired. The candidate will receive support and on the job training.

Additional Notes on Compensation
The compensation package will include an annual salary, annual year-end bonus with generous health, dental and vision benefits as well as participation in a 401(k) program.
