Our client is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer.
This job will have the following responsibilities:

Pivotal role in New Product Introductions
-
Driving Cost Savings and Cost Avoidance through Strategic Sourcing of Raw Materials
-
Generating Quality, Productivity & Efficiency Improvements through direct production support
-
Operational Improvement Identification and Implementation
-
Delivering Project Management Expertise to Global Sourcing of Manufacturing Operations
-
Insuring Proper and Timely Delivery of Vendor Service and Repair Training
Qualifications & Requirements:
-
Development and Training of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
-
Maintain a safe work environment
-
Define and recommend purchase of capital equipment
-
Provide conceptual design input for new products and provide recommendations to modify existing products for manufacturability
-
Initiate Kaizen Improvement Projects
-
Work with Quality to resolve product quality issues
-
Participate in Customer, Supplier, and Regulatory Inspections
-
Participate in product and process audits
-
Work collaboratively with all other functions during process qualification and validation activities
-
Work collaboratively with all other functions to identify and implement DFM improvements and review ECNs for approval
-
Transfer new products, processes and parts into full scale production and identify opportunities to optimize the process and procedures to achieve this

Support production from a technical perspective (own the floor) by providing the necessary tooling/fixturing/equipment and analysis of design for assembly to accurately and repeatedly assemble and test products

Root Cause analysis for customer complaints and production related issues

Bachelors/Masters in Engineering REQUIRED (Mechanical Preferred)

Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office-Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Access)

Excellent team working/building skills
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate and work collaboratively with all levels internally and with external customers/contractors/partners/suppliers

Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines and standard accepted practices

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, advanced technology manufacturing organization

ERP working knowledge
-
5-8 Years of Progressive Growth in Engineering Roles & Responsibilities
-
Manufacturing experience REQUIRED
