Professional Services Engineer

We’re looking for product developers with customer-facing experience who want more direct customer interaction and experience. It’s important to be a careful listener, with the ability to demonstrate knowledge and professionalism throughout customer engagements. Successful candidates will have a Computer Science/Engineering degree and a minimum of 5 years relevant experience. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Professional Services.

• Document needs, expectations, requirements, architecture, and related information
• Build and execute project plans
• Implement delivery projects

• Kernel development (C/C++, ASM, etc.)
• Script development (Python, Ruby, PHP, Java, etc.)
• Database/storage knowledge (MySQL, NoSQL, Postgres, Pig, Hive, HDDB, etc.)
• Parallel processing knowledge (OpenCL, Cuda, OpenMP, MPI, etc.)
• Distributed processing knowledge (Hadoop, Spark, Presto, etc.)
• Data transport knowledge (TCP, UDP, HTTP, FTP, etc.)
• Data format/serialization knowledge (JSON, XML, Protocol Buffers, etc.)
• Data analysis tools (Datameer, Platfora, SAS, etc.)
• Data statistics and visualization
• Performance analysis
• Business Intelligence products, dashboards, and reporting tools
