Enable the transformation of field biological data into knowledge with an emphasis on experimental design, analysis, data quality, data set handling, and providing support to the R&D community. Support statistical analysis and product advancement via consulting, training, and development of reports, applications, and processes.
- Use Syngenta proprietary tools and systems to provide information to internal and external customers in the form of data searches, queries, summaries, visualizations, analyses and reports.
- Provide support, guidance, and training of user community in the use of proprietary tools for tracking of experimental materials and performing statistical analyses.
- Conduct appropriate statistical analyses of product performance data for business needs.
- Support product advancement by improving processes and tools used to make decisions.
- Assist in the improvement of systems for field-performance data capture.
- Engage in and contribute to the Global R&D Scientific Networks.
- Serve as a resource for scientific information based on data analytics and technical experience.
- Generate innovative solutions in dealing with work problems and opportunities.
- Serve on teams for development, testing, and implementation of new applications.
Critical knowledge:
- An M.S. degree minimum, with a Ph.D. preferred, in an agricultural or plant-science related field of study (Agronomy, Horticulture, Breeding, Epidemiology, Entomology, Plant Pathology, Weed Science,) with an emphasis on statistics and data analysis.
Critical experience:
- Experience with field-based research, statistics, and data analysis
- Experience with application development for field biology analytics
- Use of sound statistical design principles to develop experimental protocols
- Experience with the process of using research to answer biological questions
- Experience with standardizing and summarizing biological data

Working Conditions
All applicants must be eligible to work in the US. 15% travel will be required both domestically and internationally.
