Description
- The Medicare Marketing Director serves as point of contact on marketing issues and resolution for assigned business areas within Medicare Programs Marketing, has overall responsibility for developing CMS compliant Consumer, Broker and Member facing marketing strategies for Sutter Health Plan.

Acts as a change agent and creates, implements and drives transforming marketing strategies to raise visibility of the Plan to the senior population to grow incremental volume and revenue.

Manages the brand and brand compliance.
- The Director of Medicare Marketing is also responsible for the development, management and evolution of enterprise wide marketing campaigns in support of the Medicare Group segment including, but not limited to, Medicare customer acquisition and retention, Medicare non-Member prospects, group segments related to SHP Member Age In and Continuing to Work, Group Retiree Contract Cancellation, and Member communications and loyalty retention campaigns.
Qualifications
Education:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent education and experience required.
Experience/Knowledge/Skills:
- Demonstrated successful experience in each of the following disciplines:
Fundamental Components:
- Experience marketing to seniors/baby boomers and/or health insurance marketing, managing / serving as a product owner for a digital asset (web / mobile)
- Experience with Medicare / CMS requirements is desired.
- Strong program/project management experience is required.
- Strong leadership and ability to communicate with all levels of management and senior leadership audiences.
- Ability to lead/mentor teams.
- Vendor management experience required.
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

This lead position must be able to work with a very regulated and complex business product. Adherence to compliance guidelines is required

The lead must also be able to provide strong leadership to the digital team and provide timely and proactive response and support to business needs/issues.
- Requires BA/BS or Master’s degree in a related field, (Business Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications and/or Public Health or Law) or equivalent work experience.
- 11-14 years of relevant work experience in all of the following areas: marketing, communications or any combination of education and experience including at least three years managing teams.
- 3-5 years of experience in Medicare Advantage marketing. • Current knowledge of CMS guidelines, regional, state and national health care issues, Northern California current events, and cultural and health care trends is preferred.
- Strong judgment and decision-making skills essential.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation and project management skills required.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills necessary.
- Ability to work with staff at all levels of the organization required.
- Organizational skills required, including demonstrated ability to maintain production schedules and strict adhere to multiple timelines and budgets.
- Ability to manage multiple and rapidly changing priorities required.
