Project Manager Life Sciences

We currently have an opening in Newton MA for a Construction Project Manager The Construction project manager will be responsible for the successful completion of activities related to the construction of Life Sciences projects

• Directs activities of workers associated with implementing construction projects.
• Evaluates specifications to plan procedures, starting and completion times, and staffing requirements for each phase of construction.
• Assembles members of organization (supervisory, clerical, engineering, cost control, and other workers) at start of project.
• May order procurement of tools, equipment, and materials to be delivered at specified times to conform to work schedules.
• Directs personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays.
• May oversee supervisory personnel and labor representatives to resolve complaints and grievances within work force.
• Manages supervisory and engineering personnel, inspectors, and suppliers to resolve construction problems and improve construction methods.
• Inspects work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedules.
• Prepares or reviews reports on progress, materials used and costs, and adjusts work schedules as indicated by reports.
• Conducts construction activities within federal, state, and local environmental rules and regulations.

• Must have a degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management. LEED, CCM, or PMP certification a plus and experience working on aviation projects.
• The successful candidate will also have excellent written and oral communication skills and be competent with the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Primavera, Prolog, AutoCAD a plus.
