Automation Developer

Spot Trading LLC is a technology-driven proprietary trading firm based in Chicago’s financial district. Founded in 1999, the firm has grown to be a leading liquidity provider and market-maker for the U.S. exchange-listed equity options markets.

• Create detailed technical documentation
• Plan and document test cases and strategy for assigned projects in collaboration with developers
• Execute test cases and thoroughly document results
• Develop and maintain test tools in Python or C++
• Work on development and test automation and simulation framework
• Troubleshoot problems found using the test tools

• BS in CS or similar required
• 3-5 years C# and/or C++
• Experience working with Python or other scripting languages
• Unix or Linux environment
• Knowledge of financial markets (stock, options) is a plus
• Ability to develop software with a test engineer mindset
• Ability to narrow down a problem quickly and accurately
• Team player with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Creative independent thinker
