Responsibilities
  • Spectrum Brand's Small Appliances division is looking for a talented and self-motivated CMF designer to join our successful team responsible for the design of several leading and highly influential brands in the consumer appliance industry.
  • The CMF designer's main responsibilities will be the development of Color, Texture and Graphics concepts/specifications and user interface design for North American, Latin American and European markets.
  • The CMF designer will work to design solutions that contain the highest levels of usability, ergonomics and market trend relavance.
  • The designer would also be adhering to brand language guidelines, complying with manufacturing time and cost constraints.

  • Model the Spectrum Brands eight Core Capabilities to achieve service excellence, meet and exceed organizational objectives and support fiscal responsibility.

  • Execute Color, Texture and Graphics concepts and specifications.
  • Explore patterns and finishes for all brands and product categories.
  • Assist in the development of computer generated renderings.
  • Develop preliminary ID specifications for quoting.
  • Research the market and create inspiration boards.
  • Stay current with design and color trends as well as related technical knowledge.
  • Assist in preparing final prototype and sales samples.
Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Interior Design, or equivalent creative background.
  • 1-2+ years of relevant experience in product colors materials, graphics, product design, or a combination of equivalent experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Strong working knowledge in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, Microsoft Office and Keyshot.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple scheduled tasks.
  • Flexibility, ability to adapt and working well in a fast-paced team setting.
  • Ability to interact with team members and other departments.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
