Contribute to overall design and development efforts for all major, minor, and maintenance releases of wM products to ensure they perform as PM and R&D defined and customers required.
- Must be able to write Java on first day of work Must understand SW Product Lifecycle, Agile Environment is a plus
- As a lead engineer, contributes, frequently in a lead capacity, in areas of technical specialty to the deliverable associated with the wM products while also providing guidance and direction to less senior staff members on a routine basis
- Performs and coordinates some of the following types of responsibilities: requirement analysis, design analysis, programming, software integration, documentation, test and evaluation, engineering design/analysis, and other technical types of tasks.
- Assists other staffs in supporting marketing and client interactions as needed.
Skills and Experience
- Familiar with software testing methodology, some exposure to commercial testing tools a plus
- Working knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle
- Familiar with Web Services, REST technology, a plus
- Collaborative working style, familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Strong troubleshooting skills and willingness to put the customer first
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Capable of managing his/her own tasks with minimal supervision
Professional Experience in year(s):
4
Education:
BS in Computer Science, or equivalent
IT Skills:
- Basic knowledge of MS Windows, Linux, and/or other Unix flavored system.
- Familiar with Internet technology, client server systems, and general web applications
Languages:
- Object-Orient Programming Languages, Java required.
- SQL, XML
