The Analyst II will provide support in delivering due diligence and underwriting services on commercial properties to the Situs Realty Services team in an accurate, timely and high quality fashion. Advanced Excel modeling is a key requirement for this position.
- Basic knowledge of leases and the ability to create and analyze rent rolls
- Performs supervised site visits with increased understanding of site visit requirements and fieldwork
- Analyzes and interprets basic financial reports such as “Operating Statements,” basic financial categories such as “Revenues and Expenses,” and historical trending
- Ability to handle tenant level information including financial trends and credit ratings or stock market capitalization
- Basic understanding of most borrower or sponsor level information such as financial statements, tax returns, most asset types and leases
- Required to identify and understand the client’s scope of work in regards to third party reports
- Ability to understand the three basic valuation methods for appraisals and appraisers presentation of property taxes
- Ability to work independently on projects and also collaborate ‘face to face’ as a team player
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum 9 months as Analyst 1, or
- 2+ years in real estate related, or financial services industry, such as appraisal, brokerage, or banking primarily focused on commercial properties
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree;
- MBA a plus.
Additional skills:
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Good understanding of real estate and real estate terminology
- Excellent business writing skills and professional verbal skills with ability to interact with clients via phone or in person

Approach work from more of a “transaction” basis versus “task” basis
- MS Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, Power Point and Word.
- Working knowledge of Argus
