Senior Marketing Specialist
SHRM Foundation
(Alexandria, Virginia)-
Build strategic branding and marketing plans, both short- and long-term.

Prepare marketing strategies alongside other staff and Board members.

Plan marketing and branding objectives.

Nurture and enrich brand awareness of the SHRM Foundation.

Extend the SHRM Foundation brand by building awareness and catching the attention of media, CEOs and progressive leaders of Fortune 100 organizations.

Gather and analyze customer insight.
-
Analyze market trends and recommend changes to marketing and business development strategies based on analysis and feedback.

Oversee creation and delivery of press releases, advertisements, and other marketing materials.

Work with SHRM Marketing, Public Relations, and other SHRM departments to coordinate and enhance joint marketing efforts.

Integrate the Foundation brand with SHRM and its affiliate brands by coordinating closely with the Vice President of SRM Marketing.

Work with the SHRM Art Department to design print/on-line ads and marketing publications.

Manage and execute web content strategy.

Build and execute social media strategy, involving staff and board of directors.

Engage constituent groups on social media.
-
Deepen relationships with all media to ensure the most effective messaging and positioning of the Foundation.

Work with Program and Development Directors on content generation and production across all media platforms.

Strengthen the connection between the Foundation’s work and current/ potential donors and and sponsors.

Evaluates results of marketing efforts and brand awareness.
Required Skills Strong working knowledge of general marketing concepts and terminology - Experience building social networking presence

Outstanding written and oral communication skills; ability to influence and engage a wide range of constituents and build long-term relationships

Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strategic thinker with strong organizational skills

Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.

Proficient in Photoshop preferred.

Bachelors degree, marketing preferred.
-
5 - 7 years of progressively responsible experience in branding and marketing, preferably with a non-profit/foundation or with a firm in the HR space.

Experience marketing to a business audience preferred.
