Summary

This entry level Accounting / IT role is to ensure the streamlined operation of the IT Department in alignment with the finance department objectives. This individual will be trained to support IT finance related activities of the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Learn Accounting ERP software and support end users of the application
  • Work alongside IT team members and Accounting department to document processes, testing and training materials
  • Should be willing to get trained on IT financial applications and work closely with business to identify cost-effective technology solutions
  • Ability to understand and document business requirements
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical user groups
  • This individual will be trained to in JDE and will be Responsible for support ticket resolution.
  • Learn to identify system issues, determine root causes, and provide solutions for temporary workarounds and permanent fixes
  • Perform and review daily/ periodic system validation checks and initiating prompt corrective measures
Ideal Candidate

Education & Certification

Four year college degree in Accounting with some computer classes.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Strong Accounting knowledge
  • 0-3 years as any ERP Financial Systems Analyst experience
  • Prior accounting work experience preferred but optional
  • Prior ERP functional knowledge preferred but optional

  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
  • Ability to perform general mathematical calculations for the purpose of creating business cases, budgets, and so on.

Contacts:

Nature of this position is such that it has regular contact with all divisional departments, with Corporate MIS, with foreign subsidiaries’ I.S. staff.

Working Conditions:

Position will travel at a moderate level to ensure the satisfactory functioning of the New Jersey, Canada and Mexico units and will travel to foreign subsidiaries to ensure propriety of foreign operations.
