Responsibilities

Broadly, you'll have the opportunity to be involved in anything and everything that helps more people discover SeatGeek. Here are a few specific things that qualify

  • rigorously overhauling our email marketing strategy managing paid marketing channels (search, retargeting, & social)
  • identifying & exploiting new SEO opportunities keeping a watchful eye out for trends in web and mobile app analytics proposing & implementing new A/B experiments on SeatGeek
Ideal Candidate

Skills

You're not scared by lots of data. You're also ideally familiar with at least a handful of the following things and – equally importantly – eager to learn any that are new to you:

  • Microsoft Excel and/or Google Spreadsheets
  • Google Analytics or comparable web analytics service Sailthru or a comparable email service provider (e.g. MailChimp) SQL (more specifically: MySQL) Light web development (e.g. HTML/CSS, Javascript, PHP) Search, retargeting, & social ad software (e.g. Google AdWords, Facebook Ads Manager, etc.)

Experience

  • You're a hard, smart worker, and have a resume to prove it. You probably excelled in school. Your degree might be in a quantitative field like economics or mathematics.

  • Ideally, you've already worked on marketing before, especially for another mobile-focused tech company. If not, your past work experience might include a year or two in another analytics-heavy role like management consulting, business intelligence, sales/revenue operations, or finance.
