Position Summary
- The Marketing Manager works in a team environment to support the Executive Director in every aspect of marketing, communications, and fund raising.
- This position is an essential part of Schola Cantorum’s initiative to expand its visibility, audience and donor base.
The primary responsibilities of the Marketing Manager are to increase Schola Cantorum’s visibility and audienceand to assist with the expansion of its donor base:
- Develop and recommend a marketing strategy for subscription and single-ticket campaigns and develop and implement an annual plan to support these strategies.
- Together with the Executive Director, develop marketing strategies for fund raising campaigns and events, including the annual Gala, and develop and implement an annual marketing plan to support these strategies.
- Manage and develop, in collaboration with others, all marketing and public relations communications, including the design of marketing materials, print material, press releases, Web content, emails and social media, letter campaigns, event listings and the distribution of the same.
- Create, manage and execute Social Media Campaigns: Maintain, update, and create content for Schola Cantorum’s social media, including, Facebook and Twitter.
- Maintain an audience/donor database and a file of all print material and media
- Must be an excellent, creative writer and proofreader.
- Requirements include a four-year college degree and a minimum of two years of work experience in a field related to nonprofit administration in the arts, preferably the performing arts.
- Must be reliable, hardworking, and a self-starter. Must be able to work independently as well as cooperatively as a team member.
- Must have a driver’s license and a means of transportation.
