Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of analytic studies and products including, but not limited to, gap analyses, operational requirements documentation, system performance metrics and assessments, trade-off studies, and cost-benefit analyses.
  • Facilitate large and diverse groups of stakeholders (e.g., law enforcement, intelligence, technical, policy, and federal/state/local authorities) to inform the development of analytic products.
  • Provide recommendations on, and technical assessments of, homeland security technologies and applications within the aviation, terrestrial, and maritime operational environments.
  • Present technical findings and recommendations to senior government management and non-technical audiences.
  • Attend Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings, Working Groups (WG), technical interchange meetings, workshops, conferences, and in-process reviews as directed.
Ideal Candidate

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of experience or Master’s degree and 3 years’ experience with a strong background in research and writing.
  • Experience providing analytical support to projects focused on enhancing the operational capabilities of stakeholders within the homeland security community and/or the CBRN community at the federal, state and local levels.
  • Superior interpersonal and oral/written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic team environment and perform assigned tasks with minimal guidance.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Active DoD SECRET security clearance and clearable to Top Secret; ability to obtain DHS Suitability.

Desired Qualifications:

General understanding of government acquisition, systems engineering processes, or strategic/operational planning.

Familiarity with a select combination of the following: CONOPS design or analysis, measures of effectiveness/measures of performance, comparative analysis, trade-off studies, and training/exercises. Proficiency with MS Access
