Senior Device Engineer

The engineer in this position will work on characterization and optimization of state of the art SLC and MLC NAND flash devices to be integrated into Solid State Drives (SSDs).

The individual will perform flash device-level characterization, reliability evaluation, and parameter optimization; evaluate efficacy of various flash management algorithms and assess their impact on SSD drive operation. The individual will work closely with engineers from device, firmware, design, and system engineering groups.

- This position requires an MS/PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 1-3 years of relevant industry experience, ideally working on NAND device, test, or system development. - A successful candidate should possess a combination of some of the following attributes: understanding of NAND/NOR flash memory operation, failure modes, and qualification testing; experience with microcontroller, memory, and embedded peripherals; C/C++ and embedded firmware programming; Perl, Python, shell scripting; experience with TIBCO Spotfire. - Good communication and analytical skills are a must.
