Summary
The Analyst will be responsible for working closely with the Asset Management Team responsible for East Coast projects. Job duties include, but are not limited to: office/retail/residential leasing and project management, financial modeling, performing market research, writing investment committee recommendations, creating projections, determining asset valuations, budgeting, and reporting. Our portfolio currently consists of office, hotel, residential, retail, and land assets.
Responsibilities
* Assist in financial analysis and management (including leasing analysis and capital projects review/budgeting) of existing assets. * Work with Accounting Team to ensure that operating results and other reporting requirements are completed accurately and on time by operating partners. * Review and analyze monthly operating performance of owned assets. Highlight any shortfalls or noteworthy information. * Participate in meetings with property managers and operating partners. * Prepare annual reforecast and assist in budget review process for each asset. * Prepare materials for and participate in internal quarterly meetings. * Assemble and review economic, demographic and other market information for each asset area, as needed, including recent sales and leasing data. * Monitor performance of competitive properties.
Ideal Candidate
* BS/BA required. Major in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or Accounting. * 2+ years’ work real estate industry experience. Prior experience asset managing Office, Residential, and/or Retail product (any or all) is strongly preferred. * Significant experience with leasing, operations and financial modeling/analysis * Strong analytical and problem solving skills with high attention to detail * Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, and Word * Knowledge of Argus required, VBA & MRI a plus * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task * Ability to work independently and as a team member * Must be self-motivated
