Summary
Reporting to the Director, Corporate FP&A and Enterprise Analysis, the position develops strategic financial analysis that supports enterprise wide financial decision-making to improve company financial performance. The Senior Financial Analyst will develop analysis and strategic financial plans, prepare presentations and support the Finance Director in the development of recommendations and action plans that will be presented to company leadership, including the CEO and CFO, and which will require significant collaboration with the BU, segment and functional Finance and business teams.
Responsibilities
* Developing profitability analysis for specific countries at the Rockwell Automation level * Developing profitability analysis of specific products or product families, looking beyond the typical standard costs * Developing customer and industry profitability analysis * Developing analysis on externally reported metrics such as ROIC, cash flow and SG&A, at the company and at the BU or country level * Developing analysis on long term profitability and cash flow taking into account currency, growth initiatives or other country or BU specific factors * Developing scenario analysis to support decision-making * Developing strategic financial plans that incorporates the BU, segment and/or functional strategies for a particular country, industry, customer segment and/or product family * Developing analysis and presentations for the Business Strategy Review (BSR) using existing Enterprise Analysis work and incorporating knowledge and interpretation of long-term trends, market data and investment decisions * Providing support to the Finance Director in the development of recommendations to be made to company leadership * Preparation of presentations for company leadership, including the CEO and CFO
Ideal Candidate
**Minimum Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance and/or Business Administration * Minimum of 8 years of financial analytical experience **Desired Qualifications** * Graduate degree (i.e. MBA) preferred * Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills * Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills * Strong business acumen with an ability to look at the ‘big picture’ * Ability to work in a matrix environment across multiple functions, businesses, and regions * A self-starter with an ability to manage multiple assignments and projects with varying deadlines with the minimum of supervision * Ability to work with Microsoft Office software and Finance systems to manipulate data and summarize results for presentation to various levels of management, including company leadership
