Business Objects and SSIS Developer

Robert Half Technology is working with a client who is looking to hire a Business Objects & SSIS Developer in the Mayfield Heights area.

• The Business Objects & SSIS Developer is responsible for enterprise data warehouse application and reporting system (SSIS and SAP Business objects).
• The developer is expected to develop, modify, and maintain existing SAP Business objects reports and back end SQL server SSIS packages and stored procedures. Work with project stakeholders on a daily basis.
• Develops software solutions by studying requirements analysis and information needs; conferring with stakeholders and IT Management; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; performs software design using software development fundamentals and processes, debug, test, and deploy software solutions.
• Design, develop and maintain key components of the Enterprise Data Warehouse Reporting (SAP Business Objects reporting and SSIS).
• Good understanding of SQL Server data warehousing
• Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
• Actively participate in product design reviews by providing creative and practical ideas and solutions in a teamwork environment.
• Capable of learning quickly and adapting to constant demands of development/analysis/testing.
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude required in developing qualify application
• Participates in technical design, development and implementation of application systems.
• Participates in post-implementation reviews of both application development content and process to maximize and share learning.
• Work on multiple projects with different deadlines
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Review and evaluate existing systems for possible enhancement or upgrade. Routinely search for innovative ways to improve existing systems or procedures.
• Establish check points at regular intervals to verify accuracy of the work in progress

• 3-5 years experience programming in SQL Server BI Stack (must have SSIS, Stored Procedure, T-SQL)
• 3-5 years Experience in reporting layer using SAP Business objects
• Ability to write Stored Procedures, write complex SQL queries, and ability to analyze the SQL data is desired.
• Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, and/or SQL Server Integration Services a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems; or related discipline is desired.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high quality/error free deliverables.
• Must be motivated, independent and self-sufficient. Able to receive an assigned task and see it through to completion with minimal supervision.
• Must have a strong programming background authoring well written, well documented, modular and clean code.
• Must be well organized, a good communicator, able to effectively prioritize tasks, and manage your projects from concept to production.
• Must be able to write thorough and concise functional and design specifications as well as easily readable end user documentation.
• Possess leadership skills and ability to be led in a manner that is healthy to our positive and productive work environment.
