Responsibilities

Redwood-Kairos Real Estate Partners, a CRE private equity fund based in Orange County, CA, has a career opportunity for an Associate Investment Manager, Acquisitions (debt/equity). The candidate shall be responsible for sourcing, underwriting, and structuring debt and equity investment opportunities in multifamily, office, retail, hospitality, and other diverse commercial real estate assets.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the sourcing of debt/equity opportunities that meet the funds’ investment parameters
  • Responsible for financial analysis, underwriting, and loan structuring, including risk assessment, projections and sensitivity analysis, collateral analysis, and completion of credit approval documents
  • Engage outside parties for collateral reviews, appraisals, background checks, and accounting due diligence, as necessary
  • Perform on-site due diligence through property inspections
  • Assist in the structuring of complex joint venture, preferred equity, and mezzanine loan documents
  • Contribute to the advancement and training of junior personnel within the group
Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from top tier institution
  • Minimum of 5-7-years of related experience in CRE private equity, or commercial real estate lending/underwriting from a major institution
  • Experience underwriting all asset types from both debt/equity stand point
  • Strong credit skills evidenced by ability to quickly evaluate strengths and weaknesses of a variety of transactions
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ARGUS
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to source investment opportunities on a national basis
  • Ambitious and outgoing personality (strong interpersonal skills)
  • Ability and desire to travel domestically

Salary commensurate with experience (base + bonus)

Working Conditions

Approximately 50+ hour per week is anticipated
