Quality Engineering Lead

Quid builds software that augments human intelligence. We're defining a new market and pioneering technology that helps strategic thinkers make decisions in a fraction of the time. Quid algorithms reveal patterns in large, unstructured datasets and then generate beautiful, actionable visualizations.

As a Lead Quality Engineer, you will own the end to end quality process of our platform and product. You will be responsible for driving testing strategies, building automation platforms, and facilitating Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment for the entire team. You will be working in a fast paced, Agile development environment in a highly talented team.

• Design and develop automation platforms, test frameworks and testing tools
• Develop test environments for end-to-end testing, integration testing, smoke tests, and performance benchmarking.
• Work closely with developers to define test strategy and software quality expectations for our SaaS platform and our visually engaging product
• Collaborate with infrastructure team to create "hands free" continuous deployments and smoke tests
• Empower development team with test tools and software metrics that help drive software quality
• Responsible for overall quality of our code base and product
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to other Quality Engineers
• Partner up with the VP of Engineering to build a high caliber team of Quality Engineers, responsibilities will include interviewing, onboarding, and development of your team

• BS/MS in Computer Science or related technical field
• Excellent coding skills in either Java, Python, Ruby or Scala
• Experience leading a small team of 2-6 Engineers
• Experience working in an agile development and continuous integration environments
• Self-driven problem solver
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to take ownership and deliver
• Passion for delivering high quality products
• Experience testing distributed systems
• Experience writing test automation tools/frameworks

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Experience in large-scale software deployments
• Experience performing security testing of a SaaS platform
• User interface automation using Selenium
• Experience with Spark, Elastic, Storm, Kafka, machine learning algorithms etc.
• Experience in Jmeter or similar tools
