- Provide process engineering support to the R & D group
- This would entail working in a cleanroom environment doing new material (metals & dielectrics) depositions/evaluations using Ebeam evaporation, physical vapor deposition/sputtering (PVD), or chemical vapor deposition (CVD)
- This would require developing deposition processes that are safe, manufactural/consistent/repeatable, and have relevant/meaningful process checks
- Complete film characterization, process margin study, and SPC charts are required before transfer to manufacturing
- If and when there is no R & D project activity, you would be expected to provide process engineering support to manufacturing
- MS or PhD in engineering or science
- Minimum of 5 yrs. experience in industry R & D or manufacturing is desired
- Ability to think logically, construct meaningful experiments, analyze data, solve process problems, and improve processes
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work with others. Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to pay attention to detail. Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC)
