Portal Communication Support Technician

- Be responsible for providing high quality customer service and operational support for the Follow My Health (FMH) FaceyConnect online patient portal functionality utilizing the Allscripts Enterprise Electronic Health Record System.
- Effectively present technical functionality of the Patient Portal and other systems that interact with it.
- Three to five years of Health Care experience, preferably HIM/IT focused.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point), Silverlight, VNC technology, GE Centricity/IDX and Allscripts (Enterprise) and Internet based products required.
- Must possess excellent customer service skills.
- Must possess excellent communication skills (oral and written).
- Ability to effectively present information and ideas.
- Must be able to multi task and maintain a flexible schedule and some travel as needed.
- Must possess analytical aptitude and presentation experience.
- Ability to implement new procedures to increase efficiency.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Support Desk or equivalent background highly desirable.
- Knowledge of privacy requirements related to adherence to patient confidentiality and specific privacy policies preferred.
- RHIT or RHIA preferred.
