User Experience Designer

Prosper is America’s first marketplace lending platform and has facilitated over $8 billion in loans through the platform. Since its launch in 2006 as the first marketplace lender in the US, Prosper Marketplace has evolved into a personal finance company that offers products and services that go beyond access to personal loans to help people get on top of their finances.

• Develop and maintain design wireframes, mockups, and specifications as needed
• Ability to drive best-in-class experience design in every project
• Collaborate with other designers, developers, product managers to build medium to large scale projects
• Collaborate on user experience planning within agile team
• Lead design efforts to translate rebranding efforts into new user experiences and new look and feel for Prosper’s web and mobile presence
• Mobile-first design approach to all projects
• Collaborate with developers to create light-weight prototypes
• Facilitate usability, conversion, AB testing initiatives, and SEO
• Lead user-centered research initiatives

• UX Design Degree or equivalent industry experience
• 2+ years of UX/Product design experience; 5+ years for Senior Designer
• Ability to design in all areas of UX design: from concepts and rough wires to prototypes to final customer-facing design
• Responsive/mobile design experience
• Ability to put as much attention to the visual presentation of your product design
• Experience in Scrum Agile or other Agile/Lean methodologies
• Proven ability to take an iterative approach to design
• In-depth knowledge of the tools required to design for web and mobile UX
• Online portfolio
• Drive to lead FinTech industry in best-in-class user experiences and product design
