(San Francisco, California)The Presidio Trust is an innovative federal agency created to save the Presidio and transform it into a new kind of national park.
Spanning 1,500 acres in a spectacular setting at the Golden Gate, the Presidio now operates largely without taxpayer support, is home to a large community of residents and commercial tenants, and offers unique recreation, hospitality, and educational opportunities to people throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and the world.
- Under the direction of the Associate Director of Strategic Engagement & Destination Marketing, researches and supports development of a multi-year integrated marketing campaign to support the Trust's related strategic planning imperatives.
- Executes internal and external roll-out of major consumer marketing and outreach campaigns, including management of executional plans and deadlines inclusive of media buys, media partners, tradeshows, events, roadshows, promotions, advertising, etc.
- Supports development of marketing plans for welcoming initiatives including hospitality and programs.
- Supports development of Trust-sponsored marketing events within and outside the Presidio.
- Tracks execution and key performance indicators of marketing programs.
- Supports executive leadership positioning strategy and execution, providing a roadmap and schedule for leadership at key San Francisco and national organizations including maintaining an annual events calendar with speaking and sponsorship opportunities.
- Supports message development for key campaigns, and ensures communications comply with brand standards, style guidelines and approval process.
- Defines and continually improves processes for efficient and effective communications with target audiences.
- Establishes and maintains consortium of visitor-serving tenants.
- Coordinates with visitor-serving tenants on marketing activities, calendars, and event schedules
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, public relations or related field.
- Minimum 5 years project/account management, integrated marketing communications practices; marketing communications agency experience preferred.
- Strong working knowledge and expertise of the marketing process, tools and deliverables.
- Superior communications skills including message development, research, writing, editing, presentation and relationship management.
- Ability to think strategically; multi-task; attend to detail and deadlines; work well under pressure.
- Skill and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of latest practices in media, digital, sponsorship and integrated marketing.
Desired
- Demonstrated desire to implement best practices in cooperative integrated marketing programs; destination marketing experience a plus.
- Passion for parks; strong desire to work for the Presidio.
- Knowledge of Bay Area community, government, media and business leaders, as well as San Francisco neighborhoods and politics.
- Ability to manage the expectations of various users and constituents.
