Job Summary
We are currently seeking a Marketing Manager. This position would be responsible for developing and driving all of Pivot’s marketing activities and initiatives. Additionally, this position would work closely with others across the organization to grow Pivot’s customer base and products. The ideal candidate would have significant experience in marketing and have a high degree of professionalism, creativity and the ability to reimagine a service-based organization to help it grow and scale its services.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
Product and Brand Development
- Redefine and promote brand positioning, establishing Pivot as the industry leader in professional services in education finance, leadership, and teaching and learning
- Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates our products in the market
- Work cross functionally to build new products and improve existing line of services
- Develop promotion and positing plans for conferences and trade shows
- Create and manage marketing collateral
- Manage print and digital assets
- Develop a strategy and manage marketing programs that drive demand for Pivot’s products
Digital Marketing
- Design, develop, and grow all digital marketing activities, including social media, Company website, online advertising, and online partnership opportunities
- Build a strong market presence using free and fee-based technologies
- With Pivot’s Senior Product Manager, identify and implement an e-commerce solution to support online registration for workshops and institutes Develop an SEO optimization strategy
Social Media
- Design and implement a social media plan with a high-level of user engagement that positively influences buyers and creates a strong Pivot following
- Identify Pivot “celebrities” who can act as brand ambassadors and improve public profile
- Facilitate and monitor community activities, participation, and conversations, listening for and identifying trends; promote discussions and user activity accordingly
Data and Analytics
- Develop metrics to better understand market trends, capture customers, and determine product relevance
- Provide weekly reporting on marketing initiative performance
- Use data to drive strategy and tactical plans
Sales Support and Communication
- Working with the CBO, develop marketing campaigns and initiatives designed to increase customer acquisition and retention
- Communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team
- Plan and implement the launch of new products
- Manage all customer communication, including inquiries, feedback, and comments
- Collaborate with CBO and sales team to develop tools that support the selling process and product promotion
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of experience in marketing
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or similar
- Social media strategist with strong skills in various platforms (e.g., YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Pinterest, Instagram, SnapChat)
- Intermediate to advanced skills in modern technologies such as social media platforms, Salesforce, Microsoft Office, Adobe InDesign, content management systems, and ad-serving and marketing software
- Proven record of marketing ROI Analytical, self-starter, flexible, and creative
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to earn the respect and trust of diverse groups of colleagues and constituents
- Ability to prioritize tasks, track multiple projects, and manage marketing calendar
- Experience in the education sector or a service-based business preferred
- Willingness to travel up to 25% time

Salary is commensurate with skills and experience. Full benefits include health, dental, vision, 403B contribution, and paid time off for holidays, sick leave and vacations.
