Summary
Penton’s Live Design Team seeks a dynamic Exhibitions Sales Representative. We welcome talent who possess an open-minded approach to projects and ideas. The goal of the position is twofold: * Administration: manage the processing of sales and marketing support for all in-person events within the Live Design (LD) franchise; including LDI, Master Classes and any future launches. * Perform certain admin tasks for digital sales as needed. * Sales: responsible for these key components: * Sales tied to the Live Design Directory pillar, including banner ads, enhancements, Gear Gallery sales, etc; and incremental event sales, TBD. General duties will include but are not limited to sales and sponsorship contract management, reporting, data entry, and re-sign process management. For item two, general duties will include but not limited to prospecting, contacting prospective clients, putting together sales proposals, etc.
Responsibilities
**Digital Sales** * Develop new leads to present digital offerings for directory. * Work with existing LDI exhibitors so sell enhanced directory and product listings. * Prospect and target non-exhibitors for directory and product listing sales. * Work with content director, and digital sales rep to identify key prospects. **Event Sales** * Develop new leads who don’t currently reside in our sales force system. * Follow up with dormant accounts and try to sell them back into the show. * Prospect non-exhibitors and new accounts for sponsorship opportunity sales. **Admin Responsibilities** * Assist in resigning LDI exhibitors along in the sales office on site at LDI. * Produce monthly report that Track sales to goal for each sales rep and team as a whole. * Manage accuracy of exhibitor company name and booth numbers for show directory maps and signage. * Work with operations team to help fulfill sponsorships based on PES best practices. * Process address, company info and contact info changes by executing change orders and updating appropriate databases. * Build ad hoc reports for sales team members upon request. * Build monthly campaign reports for digital sales as needed. * Work with sponsorship team on deliverables for LDI app sponsorship, awards sponsorship and other digital components tied to events. * Upload and maintain all sales leads into Sales Force from industry trade shows. * Proof contracts and promotional material as required. * Handle contract execution and placement for all trades. * Sales prospecting as required by event and digital reps. * Update Salesforce with new leads, category assignments, etc. * Support team and management as required. * Group administration, research and projects as required. **Additional Responsibilities** * Travel as requested to conferences, clients, vendors, tradeshows, etc. * Provide consistent, timely reporting of projects and meet identified deadlines. * Use identified software and tools for record keeping and event management * Responsible for following procedures, timelines & deadlines for projects as indicated. * Assist in promoting all franchise products (in-print, in-person, & online) and provide these leads to appropriate divisions. * Participate in applicable meetings. If not in attendance, accountable for learning about meeting discussions. * Encourage a positive attitude at work and a “can-do” attitude. * Consistently interact with clients with the utmost professionalism and respect at all times.
Ideal Candidate
**Skills/Abilities:** * Experience with SalesForce and A2Z a plus, along with MS Office. * Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills. * Very detail oriented and deadline driven. * Superior communications skills, oral and written. * Ability to prioritize and organize multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines. * Ability to speak and write in Spanish a plus. **Qualifications & Experience:** * College degree or equivalent training and experience preferred * High school diploma or equivalent training required. * 1-3 years sales support- administrative support and/or customer service experience required. * 1-3 years sales experience, preferable with events and/or digital.
