Engineering Manager

PayJunction wants you to join our team of elite, full stack developers as the engineering manager to own the day-to-day oversight of the team. Our engineering team values code quality, security and testing, and we’re looking for a candidate who feels the same. We’ve developed an efficient and low-stress approach that minimizes bugs and facilitates collaboration, and we’re looking for a manager who can adapt to this process and help it flourish.

• Manage, mentor and grow the engineering team
• Improve and maintain the engineering structure to scale and grow with the values of the company
• Lead peer code reviews and push code to production
• Represent PayJunction engineering and management at local and industry events to help grow our brand within the community
• Act as primary liaison to the recruiting team and lead engineering interviews to help recruit top tier software engineers
• Communicate across teams and stakeholders to drive engineering efforts

• Bachelor of science degree in computer science, computer engineering or related field
• Web application development experience in Java, JavaScript and AngularJS
• Comfortable working in Linux Ubuntu
• Passion for automation and test-driven development
• Understand the importance of writing readable, quality code
• 1+ years management experience
