Responsibilities
- Assist Agile development teams with identification of system configuration needs during software product development lifecycle - Manage system configuration needs through continuous integration and delivery of SaaS solutions - Establish new configuration, delivery, integration, and release management tools - Ensure supportability and scalability of system configurations - Support and maintain current and future automation tools for continuous integration and continuous delivery - Work on continuous improvement opportunities to drive rapid, high quality, efficient Saas delivery - Support operations to maintain continuous availability of internal systems and environments and support users of these systems across Agile Development teams - Support stakeholders by completing work orders (including build and deployment failures) as they are assigned to the team - Assist in release related activities as assigned - Keep apprised of industry best practices - Innovate on long-terms solutions to increase efficiency - Other duties as assigned
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience. - 3+ years software engineering experience, preferably in the Microsoft .Net stack, SQL Server, IIS. - Experience with software configuration management - Ability to understand highly complex system configurations and drive simplification to increase supportability - Proven experience working in an Agile (Scrum and/or Kanban) organization with team members from all areas of the organization: Development, Support Operations, QA and Leadership - Experience with automated deployment tools such as TFS, Octopus, etc. - Experience with Continuous Integration practices and tools such as TFS, Jenkins/Hudson, Go, TeamCity, Bamboo - Experience with automation tools such as Puppet, Chef, Capistrano, etc. - Extensive Experience in the use of version-control systems such as TFS, Subversion, Git, etc. - Experience with ticket management system (TrackIt, SalesForce, etc.) - 3+ years experience administration and configuration of Microsoft Windows Server 2003 – 2012 Operating Systems. - 3+ years experience with scripting within the Microsoft server product family (PowerShell, System Central, etc.) - Understanding of networking concepts to include IP, DNS, VLANs and general networking best practices relative to application design. - Demonstrated understanding of user account administration, service account administration and privileged user access relative to segmentation of duties and security. - Tenacious, solution focused, adaptable to change, and ability to work in a team oriented environment - Ability to work with high energy under minimal supervision in a rapidly evolving organization - Ability to troubleshoot web and desktop applications (including APIs, Configurations, PaaS / Azure apps) - Experience with supporting internal customers (Developers, QAs, DBAs, Architects, etc.) - Must be detail-oriented with strong documentation skills
